Tegel Airport is closing and a research and industrial park will rise in its place. Berlin TXL will offer space for entrepreneurs, students, investors, producers and scientists to develop urban technologies for the cities of tomorrow. Graft Brandlab led a unique collaboration between engineers, architects, scientists, UX designers and mobility experts. Arup, EPEA, GRAFT, PCH Innovations and Transsolar joined forces in order to develop innovative approaches for the site. The result is a study with an overarching concept for future developments, a planning manifesto and a catalogue with innovative solutions for a smart, sustainable city.
