We are currently looking for a design- and brand-minded strategist to support our team in Berlin on international projects. You will work hand in hand with our Brand Consulting Director and play an essential role in further developing and refining Graft Brandlab’s strategic approach. The ideal candidate has a solid background in consulting brands of diverse sizes and in developing implementable brand and design strategies.
Further develop and refine Graft Brandlab’s strategic approach with our team
Take the strategic lead on small to medium scale projects
Develop viable, feasible and desirable brand strategies with our clients and our team (e.g. stakeholder involvement, vision development, positioning, etc.)
Develop strategic-creative concepts with our team (e.g. guiding ideas, design principles, etc.)
Create simple and compelling client presentations (e.g. develop story flow, copywriting, find powerful visual expressions of an idea, etc.)
Develop research approaches (e.g. define type of research, execution and analysis)
Develop workshops (e.g. participant involvement, define goals, format, exercises, etc.)
Write compelling texts in English and German (e.g. claims, naming, design descriptions, etc.)
Your skills and experience
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in an agency environment (e.g. design, strategy, brand, architecture) or similar
Strong understanding of the creative process in one or more of the following fields: graphic design, architecture, interior design, UX/UI design, motion design. You act as a translator between clients and designers.
Solid experience working with diverse organizational structures and clients (e.g. corporate structures, multiple industries, projects of varying size and complexity). You adjust your strategic approach to each project’s requirements.
Ability to plan, conduct and analyze research (qualitative or quantitative) and derive take-aways of substance. You see patterns where others only see chaos.
Native German speaker or with an excellent command of German is a must. Business fluent English is required, copywriting proficiency is a bonus. You convey ideas compellingly in written and spoken word.
Required software skills: Keynote, Powerpoint, Adobe Suit (basic skills). You turn complex information into simple, visually captivating stories.
Curious mind: You walk through life with an open mind and enjoy exploring new fields and things you know absolutely nothing about.

We are currently looking for a multidisciplinary intern to support our team in Berlin on international projects. Graft Brandlab is a brand innovation agency that works at the intersection of architecture, interior design, graphic design and strategy. Our projects are multifaceted and often require looking at a problem from different angles. You love design and branding and thrive in a small team where you can wear many hats? Depending on your preferences and background you will work closely with our Design Director and our Brand Consulting Director.
Tasks you might be working on with us
Developing strategic-creative concepts with the team (e.g. guiding ideas, design principles, etc.)
Developing design directions (mood boards, key words, material research, etc.)
Developing research plans with the team (e.g. define type of research, execution and analysis)
Writing copy in English and/or German (e.g. claims, naming, long copy)
Desktop research (e.g. technology research, competitive landscape research, brand history research, etc.)
Creating compelling presentations (e.g. story flow, copywriting, find powerful visual expressions of an idea, etc.)
Graphic design tasks (e.g. Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, …)
3D design tasks (e.g. Rhino, SketchUp)
Hand Sketching is a huge plus (e.g. quick scribbles, small sketches)
Required software skills
Must haves: Keynote, Powerpoint, Adobe Suit (basic skills)
Other software skills are a bonus.
